Lazy Summer Days

This family is having a lazy summer so far. We have gone nowhere, done nothing significant, but we have had fun doing it. The kids are in swimming lessons 3 days a week. So we just stay and swim for a couple of hours after that. The kids get worn out and then we come home for Lauryn to take her nap and the kids play games or watch a quiet movie. I get my house cleaning done and whatever else I need to. It has been a pretty uneventful summer......except for.......

Homemade Ice Cream in a cone....Yummy.......

Spaghetti dinner messes......
Scary Tortilla Man!!! Run cause he's coming after you!!!

Early summer thunderstorms that produce big hail and make your trampoline fly like a UFO and then land on your neighbors fence(that was fun)........
Watching the thunderstorms roll in and then taking cover in the house cause there is a tornado siren going off.......

Participating in our very first Strawberry Festival!! Amanda was in the parade.........
putting hands in the fountain on the square hoping that it tastes like Hawaiian Punch....and then getting yelled at by mom because it does not taste like anything good and you just got red dye all over your hands.......

Celebrating a birthday for a Crazy 8 yr. old boy!!! We Love You Matthew!!!!

opening presents......
more presents......
having friends over for birthday fun.....

enjoying a quiet 4th of July day with a not so quiet fireworks on the levee by the river....

and getting a special extra large visitor on our front porch clinging to the front of the brick....Jared called it Mothra!!!! It was kind of freaky looking. We have never seen a moth this large except under glass with a pin in it.
It hung out on the brick all day and was gone by the next morning.
